There once was a little restaurant in the downtown area of a mid-size mid-west town that has been kept a secret for years and years. 

Chef Amy’s Cafe 334 is letting it out of the box.  Located Downtown Sioux Falls right on Phillips and 12th St, Chef Amy’s Cafe 334 doesn’t follow all the rules.  Following the rules is just no fun.

From the time you enter the restaurant you feel as if you were in a quaint coffee shop.  The kitchen is open and the Chefs are not too afraid to let a pan bang around or yell out to get a servers attention.  The front of the restaurant has huge windows looking to Phillips Avenue and aside the restaurant there is one of the greatest outside patio dining areas in Sioux Falls.

The front entrance area is the smaller of the two, but offers the best view of downtown through the windows and has front row seats to all the action of the kitchen.

Breakfast is served six days a week and brunch is served on Sunday.  The breakfast menu has all your classics and some great eggs benedict.  The Sunday brunch is off a menu, not a buffet, which I think is nice for a change.

Lunches are served Monday through Saturday.  Check out the Big Fat Greek Chicken Sandwich or one of Chef Lori’s Famous Soups.   Chef Lori does make the best soup in the entire World, look it up.

Dinner is only served on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the week.  The menu has plenty of choices and often the special is where it is at.  I know from experience that Chefs love creating their specials for the weekend because it lets them get really creative and have lots of fun.
