German Fest Sioux Falls 2008
On Saturday September 13, 2008 from 2pm to 10pm Downtown Sioux Falls will be filled with kraut lovers and German music galore.
The German Fest is a free event, located by Phillips to the Falls on North Phillips and 5th street.
The German Fest is held in Sioux Falls every year, this year being the 14th year straight. The festival is put on by the Sister Cities Association of Sioux Falls.
“The mission of the German Fest is to promote friendship, understanding, and to learn and accept cultural similarities and difference with foreign cities that are similar in size and population.”

About Potsdam, Germany:
Potsdam, Germany is a city in eastern Germany with a population of around 150,000 people. After the German reunification, Potsdam became the capital of the newly re-established state of Brandenburt. it is situated on the Havel River and is southwest of Berlin.
It is thought to have been founded in the 10th century as a Slavic village called “Poztupimi”. It became the hunting residence of Frederick William I, elector of Brandenburg in 1650.
